Borough 22 was born out of a desire to provide my wife, daughter and son with a free from after dinner treat that didn’t taste like hand recycled cardboard.

Hundreds of bakes later and we came up with, quite possibly, the best free from (and standard) chocolate brownies we had ever tasted (and we’ve tasted quite a few… all in the name of research!). A bold claim but the sounds people have made, the tears shed in pure chocolate joy have made us supremely confident.

This led us to experimenting with brownies, baked doughnuts and cupcakes all of which we offer as part of our service. Check our tumblr feed to see what we’ve been baking and our inspirations from our favourite bloggers across the social media world.

We strive to always use the very best ingredients, organic and locally sourced where possible. For free from there is zero compromise on ingredients and zero price increase. Equality for all!
