The Shepherd and Dog

As of September 2021, The Shepherd and Dog is under the new management of Sallie West, a local villager.

The Shepherd and Dog is a quality Pub & Kitchen, serving great quality food, drinks & coffee. We aim to be a hub for the village & surrounding areas of Boxted, Great Horkesley, Dedham & Ardleigh. We are situated just outside Colchester & one mile from the A12.

Our kitchen is open 7 days a week, so please pop in whenever you fancy some delicious local food!

We aim to use fresh produce from local sellers wherever we can, and we’re planning our own vegetable patch, as well as an outdoor pizza oven, for 2022.
